Fairchild Now Manufactures Window Channels with “Slick Coat”
July 15, 2005 – Lake Zurich, IL – Fairchild Industries, a manufacturer of extruded sealing products for automotive and industrial applications, announced today that it has begun to manufacture window channel products using “Slick Coat” which replaces traditional felt on surfaces that touch glass. “Slick Coat works as well as felt, it does not wear out, and it is easier to install,” said Joel Schauer, Fairchild’s General Manager. “In addition, by using a coating instead of felt, the channels are less expensive to manufacture which allows us to get a quality product to our customers at lower cost.”
Fairchild is one the first automotive aftermarket manufacturers in the North America to apply this new technology.
