State-of-the-Art 3D CAD Software Helps Save Customers Time and Money
May, 2008
Fairchild has made a recent investment in SolidWorks 2008, a premier 3D CAD software package used by top engineering firms across the globe. While Fairchild does not design new products for customers, SolidWorks allows us to work with part files to verify quality and integrity. It also allows us to view just about any 3D design from companies using different, more outdated software. Further, SolidWorks is being used to evaluate designs from manufacturing partners before physical samples are sent, saving time and money by correcting design issues sooner prior to tooling being cut. Our investment in engineering software is another example of how Fairchild is becoming increasingly effective and efficient in its processes.

Fairchild Industries Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Certification
July 17th, 2007
Lake Zurich, Illinois – Fairchild Industries, a custom supplier of components made from molded & extruded rubber & plastic, announced today that it has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.
This accomplishment is the ultimate “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” for industrial firms, one that has been achieved by less than 500,000 companies in the entire world. It allows Fairchild Industries to be recognized by automotive and industrial customers and prospects alike as a supplier whose products, processes and systems conform to the highest standard of quality. It also allows them to be considered as a supplier by firms that only do business with ISO-certified companies.
“It is my hope that our undertaking and persevering ISO certification will be seen by customers and prospects as a demonstration of our desire to be the best business partner possible,” said Joel Schauer, general manager. “For us, it only validates the attitude and motivation that has driven the people at Fairchild Industries from day one. We are very proud of all the people here who have made our ISO status possible.”
