Molded Plastic
We
offer a variety of different elastomers developed in response to
specific application requirements. Materials include Nylon, HDPE,
Polyethylene, Vinyl, Urethane and Santoprene. Our materials solve
a wide array of engineering challenges including sealing, weatherabilty,
temperature, environmental considerations, strength and durabilty.
We evaluate your application & material requirements so that
you can make an informed decision on the best cost effective material
for your specific application.
Molding Types
- Blow Molding Product is extruded and encapsulated
in a tool then air is injected into center and plastic is forced
against the sides and takes the shape of the tool. Often times
used in the manufacture of bottles and gas tanks.
- Urethane Molding Depending upon application
either foam or dense material is injected into tool. In the case
of foam a catalyst is used to form cell structure.
- Foam Used in arm rests and control handles.
- Dense Used in automotive suspension applications.
- Injection Molding Material is liquefied
via heat and injected into tool. Part takes shape from tool as
material cools.
Prototypes
Producing a designed part involves variables
of dimensions, tolerances, materials and environment. We strongly
recommend and offer producing a single cavity prototype tool so
that the design may be tested and evaluated in application with
minimal cost. The time to capture design changes is in the prototyping
phase.
